About Homes of Hope

Bring a group of employees from your company, your small group or a
group of families from your church, and build a home for a needy family in
Tijuana or Ensenada, Mexico. Homes of Hope is an amazing experience to
bring your family, congregation or co-workers closer by sharing a weekend
together making a difference in the lives of a family.

In 1990 the President and Founder of Homes of Hope visited the city of
Tijuana, which is a few miles from the United States, and witnessed the
thousands of people who were living in substandard housing.  Since then,
Homes of Hope has built over 3000 homes in the Baja area, through
campuses in San Antonio Del Mar and Ensenada. Since these areas are
just across the San Diego border, they are very accessible for visitors from
the US.

Volunteering at Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope chooses the family, provides the materials and places
experienced staff on the build site to facilitate, all you need to bring is
people to serve.  Each home build takes two full working days or a total of
16 hours. It takes approximately 15 people (ages 15 and older) to build a
house. Family teams with children 14 and under can be larger, going up to
25 total in size. Teams are able to stay overnight and enjoy meals at the
Homes of Hope campus.
